Clearing throw rugs

Many older adults have houses filled with throw rugs. These rugs often have loose edges that present tripping hazards. Removing the throw rugs or tacking the sides down with double-sided tape can reduce this risk. As with clutter, though, make sure not to remove throw rugs that the elder uses to mark a path through the house.
