These can be particularly important in a bathroom, where someone might be stepping out of the shower with wet feet. A grab bar near the toilet, and several around the bath or shower can minimize fall risk. It is helpful to watch how the individual moves around the room to determine where the bars should be placed. It is also important to make sure they are installed into wall studs for maximum stability.
