Mrs. Phillips went to Chicago to live with family there and finish high school. She then returned to New Orleans, met and married her husband, and moved to Cleveland. She stayed home to raise her children until her husband died. She then worked as a secretary at a funeral home for 20 years. She was able to remain employed until she chose to retire.

Mrs. Phillips is supported financially by Social Security. She finds her finances adequate to her need.
