Management of Medical ProblemsAs has been noted throughout this case, Mr. Bynum is somewhat unclear about his medical status and can give only the most general report of his current medical situation. It seems relatively clear that the has high blood pressure that is being managed with medication. He also seems to have some sort of clotting disorder or heart problem for which Warfarin was prescribed. To learn more about Warfain and its uses, go to: As best one can tell from his vague report, his loss of consciousness and subsequent lengthy hospitalization was the result either of a clot or an aneurysm that caused a cardiovascular accident. His current physical status is somewhat inconsistent with a CVA (which would more typically affect one side of the body, rather than both lower limbs). Before embarking on any kind of aggressive rehabilitation it would be essential to gather more medical information. Both OT and PT should ask Mr. Bynum for the name of his physician(s) and permission in writing to secure medical records.
