Local History Seminars are an integral part of the History and
Social Studies programs. The
content varies by term and by instructor but they focus on the use of primary
sources and typically use the region
as their geographic focus.

HIS400 Local History Seminar: The Western Reserve This seminar will introduce students to the variety of primary sources (letters, journals, diaries etc.) which help explain how the Western Reserve of Ohio was created and how it changed over time. Students will learn how to select, evaluate, and edit primary materials for an electronic reader. |
