| The German Cultural Garden, third in historical order in the chain, extends from the upper to the lower levels of East Boulevard. With its fountain and stone walks and double lateral sections of linden alleys, it centers about an impressive bronze two-figure statue of Johann Wolfgang Goethe (1749-1832) and Friedrich von Schiller (1759-1805), Germany's greatest two poet-philosophers. — The Paths are Peace
