Areas of Interest

Primary research areas of interest are in the mathematical modeling, numerical simulation and experimental investigation of fluid flow and heat and mass transfer mechanisms in engineering systems. Other areas of interest include the application of thermal-fluid principles to energy related manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, heat treatment, Rapid Solidification Process (RSP) tooling, etc. Foundational subject areas include:

  • Fluid Mechanics/Dynamics
  • Heat and Mass Transfer
  • Classical Engineering Thermodynamics
  • Numerical Methods
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
