The Embedded Control Systems Research Lab focuses on the theoretical development and real-time implementation of control and signal processing algorithms. Theoretical directions that are of particular interest include the following:

Many of the algorithms that are developed in the lab are implemented and experimentally verified in microcontrollers and digital signal processors. The lab director is Dr. Dan Simon from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. Along with Dr. Simon, there are several graduate students who conduct research in the lab.
