Activities on July 07, 2007

We took a train from the southern tip of India to the beautiful mountainous area around the campus of Amrita University. A bus with some of the staff and faculty picked us up at the train station and we were given a wonderful reception at the palace like guesthouse. We had the opportunity to live in the guesthouse with beautiful rooms, dining room and people spoiling us immensely. After time to freshen up from the 12 hour train ride we were served dinner and interacted with some of the faculty.

The professor in charge of the environmental studies department gave us all a lovely present of various herbs and spices. For the conference we received an itinerary and briefcase. A few of the presenters were traveling with us and we met an Australian doctor at dinner. He spent time with us in doing touring the following day. We enjoyed a great night’s sleep.
