CHARLES McCRACKEN was born in 1866, the son of JOHN McCRACKEN and MARY McGUIRE.  He died in 1926.  CHARLES McCRACKEN married ELSIE A. WILLIAMS. She was born 1875, and died in 1925.  She was from Missouri.  CHARLES McCRACKEN and ELSIE A. are both buried at Bayard, Nebraska.

CHARLES McCRACKEN and ELSIE A. had one child, MARY ELIZABETH McCRACKEN, who was born in 1903. She married CLARENCE (MIKE) WILLIAMS in 1923.

According to unconfirmed information and word of mouth, Uncle Charlie McCracken "hated the Russians!" He came to town and got grain with a team.  There are recollections of CHARLES D. McCRACKEN, a nephew. Other information says that he had been married before. He and ELSIE adopted a boy. Daughter MARIE married a fellow by the name of MIKE WILLIAMS but they later separated. MARIE is deceased. ELSIE was reported to have been from Missouri.
