Brief Bio:
Qian Li has taught courses at Cleveland State University's Art Department since 2003.
Qian has worked in a variety of media including web, print, interactive art installation, 3D/2D animation, video, and digital photography. Qian has exhibited extensively in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Her video work was recently shown at Transhift08, a time-based new media art festival in Knoxville, Tennessee; SIGGRAPH 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, CA; Kietic Image at the Target Gallery in Alexandria, VA; the 2007 International Video Festival in Indonesia; the 2007 Electronic Language International Festival's eight edition in Brazil; the 5th International Symposium of Interactive Media Design in Turkey; and the 2007 Ingenuity Festival in Cleveland, Ohio.
Her recent juried exhibitions include the Haun Tie Art Museum in Beijing, China; the SIGGRAPH 2007 Art Gallery Global Eyes in San Diego, CA; iDEAs 07 Beyond Boundaries at the F.U.E.L Gallery in Philadelphia, PA; Silicon Sands at the Las Cruces Museum in Las Cruces, NM; DPI (Digital Propelled Ideas) at the Kellogg University Art Gallery in Pomona, CA; Discoveries at the George Segal Gallery in Montclair , NJ; and Signals from/about Central-Europe II at the Central EU Gallery in Hungary.
Her recent awards and grants include the Individual Excellence Award and Grant from the Ohio Art Council FY 2008; Best in Show from the Eighth Annual Image Ohio in Columbus, OH; and a Merit Award from the 48th Annual National Juried Art Exhibition at the Rocky Mount Arts Center in NC. |
