Our hotel was located about two miles south of Puerto Vallarta on a isolated cove surrounded by hills and overlooking Banderas Bay.
The view from our sixth floor room encompassed palm trees, two pools, a wide sandy beach dotted with palapas (thatch-roofed sun shades), beautifully maintained grounds and a view of the coastline stretching for miles.
We lazed away the days reading and sunning on the beach with an occasional foray into the warm waves, a dip in one of the pools or a stroll along the quarter mile beach front from rocky outcropping to rocky outcropping.
... total self-indulgence!
