HIS
371 / 571,
THE
HISTORY OF JAPAN
WHAT'S
NEW on the WEB SITE
The items listed
below have recently been altered in some significant way or have been
added to the site.
- I have made a
valiant attempt to correct all the date due errors throughout the
site. Please let me know if any continue to exist -- and remember
that those dates listed in the COURSE SCHEDULE are the ones to consider
accurate if discrepancies are found with dates listed elsewhere on
the web site. (Wednesday, September 26, 2001)
- To avoid some
of the problems with direct reference links to quiz questions from
the Course Schedule and other parts of the course web site, I have
revised each quiz "page" to include a reminder to check
out assignment guidelines available for your consideration as you
work on your responses to these questions. (Wednesday, September 19,
2001)
- The Department
of History Style
Sheet has been moved to a new location. I have attempted to locate
all the links referring to that page throughout the course web site;
please bring to my attention any that have gone uncorrected. (Monday,
September 17, 2001)
- I have finally
completed an extensive illustrated report on contemporary Japan tied
to a
tour aboard the Clipper Odyssey. You can find the link at the
bottom of the course homepage. (Monday, September 17, 2001)
- The link
to Familial Japan and the Native Tradition from the Course
Schedule page has been corrected; the earlier link brought up
the schedule from 1998! (Monday, September 10, 2001)
- Quiz
Question One (due Monday, September 17, 2001) has been revised
and the new topic uploaded to the web site. (Wednesday, August 29,
2001)
- Following a
visit to the Japanese screen exhibit at the Cleveland Museum of Art
yesterday afternoon, I have slightly revised the Optional
Assignment on Unfolding Beauty: Japanese Screens. (Wednesday,
August 27, 2001)
