HIS 374 / 574
REVOLUTIONARY MOVEMENTS IN MODERN CHINA

WHAT'S NEW ON THE WEB SITE

The items listed below have recently been altered in some significant way or have been added to the site.

  • The Course Evaluation Questionnaire has been uploaded to the web site. (Monday, May 10, 2004)
  • To accomodate students no longer enrolled, I have dropped one of the ChinaLINE Conferences (The Thought of Mao) from the schedule and reassigned the single remaining student to the final conference on Tianamen Square. (Wednesday, March 10, 2004)
  • In the interests of efficiency, I have made role assignments for each of the six ChinaLINE Conferences (except for the panel dealing with the May Fourth Movement which has initiated the role assignment process already). Check your individual assignment under the individual panel listings on the Chinaline Conferences page. (Wednesday, February 18, 2004)
  • The WebCT (password-protected ) portion of the course web site is now up and running. If this is the first time you have used WebCt, go to the WebCT homepage to create your My WebCT account first. If you already have a MyWebCT page, simply add the course (found under "history") to your page. Please register using your complete given and family names so that the instructor is able to identify you! (Wednesday, January 28, 2004)
  • A page of basic facts about contemporary China has been added to the reading assignments listed on the Course Schedule under Monday, January 26, 2004 for reference purposes. (Monday, January 26, 2004)
  • The web site has been updated so as to reflect the current semester's requirements and due dates; please bring any continuing discrepancies to the instructor's attention. (Saturday, January 24, 2004)

This site has been prepared by Lee A. Makela (l.makela@csuohio.edu) for the use of students at Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA, who are enrolled in HIS 374 / 574, REVOLUTIONARY MOVEMENTS IN MODERN CHINA during the Fall Semester of the 2003 - 2004 Academic Year; please contact him with any comments.
