This series of essays recounts observations made by Lee Makela during a week spent in Tokyo, Japan attending the seventh annual Asian Studies Conference - Japan at Sophia University in Ichigaya and exploring the larger surrounding city, an urban playground he first encountered thirty-two years ago in 1961.
