Some gardens are located, as might be expected, in residential settings or within the confines of public parks; but others are found in Buddhist temple compounds, as part of modem office complexes, just off hotel lobbies, adjacent to museums, surrounding tea houses, in small alcoves attached to shops and restaurants.
