About the Fulbright Program

The Fulbright program is a legacy of Senator J. William Fulbright who represented the state of Arkansas from 1945 until 1974. His interest and expertise in foreign affairs led to the creation of the programs on international exchange that bear his name. The Fulbright Scholar program is perhaps the best known of the various programs. This program sends US scholars to universities in countries around the world where they teach, lecture, and do research in fields from architecture to zoology. More than 250,000 US scholars have benefitted from this opportunity to collaborate with international colleagues, to learn more about the countries they visit, and to internationalize the curricula of their home institutions.

Cleveland State University is proud of the recent success of its faculty in receiving Fulbright Scholarships.
