Think of the first screen as the homepage of LogicCoach 9. When it opens, you will be asked to sign in. There are four choices:
Returning |
Return to a previously created record. |
New User |
Begin a new record system. |
Guest |
Store no records of this session. |
Exit |
Quit LogicCoach |
(An underlined letter on-screen signifies that the choice can be made without using the mouse by holding the <Alt> button and pressing the underlined character key on the keyboard.) For the three choices, records are kept until you exit from the program.
The record shows which exercise sets were opened and in each set which numbers were tried as well as how many tries were needed before each was answered correctly. The records for each set are available from the homepage and for each number from its exercise page.
The N and R options store records between sessions. Your instructor will tell you the drive and directory on which to store records. He or she will also tell you the name and extension (file type) to use such as: YOURNAME.123
If you choose the option to store records, then you can use a short cut to open LogicCoach with your record. Create a WIN-shortcut for LogicCoach. On the command line place the full path name of your record file. Or, after the program name, put a space and then the full path name. (If the file is kept in your LogicCoach folder, you need only place its name.) Save the short cut. When you click on the short cut, LogicCoach will start and self-register your previous record.
Once you have registered, the exercise selection tree will appear and the background will change from white to a color.
