Tremont History Project

The Tremont oral history project is a community-based project in which students at Cleveland State University study Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood through oral histories. The project represents a collaboration between the department of history at CSU, Tremont West Community Development Corporation, and the Ohio Canal Corridor.

Funding for this project has come from in-kind contributions from Tremont West Development Corporation, Main Street Tremont, Department of History, Cleveland State University; the College of Arts & Sciences, Cleveland State University has graciously agreed to donate tapes and other incidental equipment; a grant from the Center for Urban School Collaboration funded the purchase of state-of-the art recording equipment for this project.
