Chu is an Associate Professor Emeritus in\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.csuohio.edu\/ece\">Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering <\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.csuohio.edu\/\">Cleveland State University <\/a>.  He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Engineering from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ece.iastate.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iowa State University <\/a>. His research and teaching are in the areas of hardware design, embedded systems, FPGA (field-programmable gate array), and HDL (hardware description language).
