General FAQs – 2e Leadership Summit
1. What are the dates and location of the Summit?
The Summit runs October 8–10, 2025 at Cleveland State University.
- Leadership Summit (In-Person): October 8–10 in Mather Mansion and Julka Hall
- Virtual Summit (Teachers/others unable to attend in person): Thursday, October 9
- NEOEA Day (Ohio teachers): Friday, October 10
2. Who should attend?
- Leadership Summit (Oct 8–10): Education leaders, researchers, policy makers, and those shaping systems of support for 2e learners.
- Virtual Summit (Oct 9): Teachers and educators from any location who want to participate in facilitated problem-solving and action planning.
- NEOEA Day (Oct 10): Ohio teachers attending NEOEA professional development, featuring “Brains, Breaks, and Broadway” with afternoon sessions from 2e experts.
3. How do I register?
Registration is available online. Choose your format (Leadership, Virtual, or NEOEA Day). Early Bird rates end September 15. See the Registration page for details.
4. What’s included in my registration fee?
- Leadership (in-person): Lunch and refreshments daily, access to all Summit sessions, conference materials, and networking opportunities.
- Virtual: Access to all Thursday sessions, online resources, and participation in collaborative working groups.
- NEOEA Day: Morning professional development and an afternoon focused on twice-exceptional learners, plus event materials.
5. Is there a discounted rate?
Yes—reduced rates are available for CEC-TAG members, students, and CSU employees.
6. Where do I check in?
- In-person Leadership Summit: Check-in at Mather Mansion each morning.
- NEOEA Day: Check-in details will be provided with registration confirmation.
- Virtual attendees: Log-in details will be emailed before October 9.
7. What is the dress code?
Business casual is recommended. Comfortable shoes are encouraged for in-person attendees.
8. Will there be networking opportunities?
Yes! Structured networking is embedded throughout:
- Leadership Summit: Working groups, speed networking, meals, and social events.
- Virtual Summit: Facilitated discussions and action planning in breakout rooms.
- NEOEA Day: Afternoon sessions with 2e experts and opportunities to connect with fellow Ohio educators.
9. Are meals included?
- Leadership Summit: Lunch is included each day; evening activities are optional and at your own cost.
- NEOEA Day: Lunch provided by NEOEA.
- Virtual: Not applicable.
10. What is the daily schedule like?
- Leadership Summit: Keynotes, panels, and working groups in the mornings and afternoons; networking/social events in the evenings.
- Virtual Summit: Thursday schedule includes keynote plus facilitated grade-level/topic discussions and action planning, ending at 3:00 pm (ET).
- NEOEA Day: Morning NEOEA programming; afternoon “Brains, Breaks, and Broadway” featuring 2e sessions.
11. Can I attend virtually?
Yes—teachers and others unable to travel can participate in the Virtual Summit on October 9.
12. Will sessions be recorded?
No—sessions are designed for live, interactive participation.
13. Where can I park?
