What to Expect:

Participants at the 2e Leadership Summit can expect an engaging and collaborative event designed to bring together leaders in twice-exceptional (2e) education, including administrators, researchers, and leaders of 2e schools and programs. This summit will provide a collaborative opportunity to explore key topics for advancing education for twice-exceptional learners.

The agenda will feature expert-led discussions and workshops on:

• Legal Considerations: Understanding and responding to the evolving educational legal landscape, including implications for 2e students’ rights, compliance with state and federal mandates, and advocacy for equitable access to services.
• Professional Development: Developing and implementing effective training strategies for educators to support the unique needs of 2e students.
• Community Development: Building strong networks of families, schools, and community partners to support 2e learners holistically.
• Curriculum Frameworks:Designing and implementing curriculum that meets the diverse needs of 2e learners by balancing rigor with flexibility and accessibility.
• Mental Health: Addressing the emotional and psychological needs of twice-exceptional students to ensure their well-being and academic success.
• State Policies: Exploring the challenges and opportunities of aligning 2e programming with state education policies.
