Creating a Lasting Legacy: Providing AP Computer Science

Preparation and Career Awareness For High School Students

The Legacy Program is an initiative to prepare high school students in Ohio for the College Board’s Advanced Placement Computer Science course and exam. The Legacy program is supported by a National Science Foundation grant. In collaboration with Cleveland State University and Central State University, this summer 50 high school students will be supported in this years upcoming cohort.

The goal of the program is to increase participation and preparation of students who have the lowest percentage of representation in computer science and software development fields. Students who are accepted into the program and complete  all program activities will receive a stipend of up too 1,700. Along with the stipend room and board will be provided for students participating in the Legacy program.
