An investigation of an individual creative artist as representative of the modernization process at work in the Tokugawa Period townsman-dominated popular urban culture of the Floating World.

EARLY MODERN JAPAN
RESEARCH PROJECT

(due Tuesday, April 29, 2008)

An in-depth study of a topic of the individual student's personal choice illustrating the impact of the modernization process in a specific area of inquiry and investigation within the Early Modern Period of Japanese history.
