Program Innovation

  • StARS Program: Founded research mentoring program in the department of Speech & Hearing at CSU (see link).
  • Bag Lunch Seminar Series: Initiated and coordinated (Summer 2003) this series for professional development of students and post-docs at the SCSD, McGill University

  • Acoustical Society of America (ASA): Member, Served on Technical Committee as a Judge in Student poster competitions in their Fall and Spring meetings. Organized, chaired and presented in a special session at the Fall 2004 meeting. Also, regular reviewer of manuscripts submitted to the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (JASA).
  • American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA): Member; Served on Multicultural Committee in reviewing papers submitted for the annual meeting.
  • Asian Indian Caucus (AIC): Member, represent issues pertaining to Asian-Indians in the field of Speech & Hearing.
