about

The multidisciplinary and collaborative IERS center aims to advance research and education in two major domains: energy systems modeling and built-environment resiliency and sustainability.

The first domain focuses on the fundamentals of scientific modeling techniques:

  • Integrated physics-informed and data-driven modeling
  • Multi-scale multi-domain (e.g., social, human factor, etc.) modeling
  • Renewable energy integration

The second domain will focus on impactful applied research domains including:

  • Energy sustainability
  • Infrastructure resiliency
  • Energy in transportation
