Poster presentation instructions
Step-by-step guide to a successful in-person poster presentation
Create and print your poster
The best posters effectively use graphics to present the essence of your research, emphasizing and distilling the key ideas, while the presenter provides more detail during the session and a supplementary video enhances the accompanying published poster PDF. Conversely, simply enlarging your manuscript to poster size is considered the least impactful approach.
Your poster should Include:
- The title of the paper and the names of all authors at its head
- Brief introduction, clearly state the objectives, detail the experimental procedures, and summarize the conclusions and references in a coherent and sequential manner.
- Additionally, accompany each graph, image, and table with a descriptive explanation.
Formatting
- You can format your research poster in either landscape or portrait format
- Portrait: Your poster dimensions cannot be greater than 3’ (36”) width x 4’ (48”) height
- Landscape: Your poster dimensions cannot be greater than 4’ (48”) width x 3’ (36”) height
- You will need to print your poster prior to the conference and bring it with you
- We will provide the easels, poster board backing, and push pins for your poster to be displayed on. Your poster board backing and push pins will be located at your easel.
