Powered Orthoses

The Center developed three generations of lower-limb robotic exoskeletons, each designed to assist children with gait impairments in achieving normative kinematics. These systems provided gait assistance and rehabilitation for pediatric users with conditions such as cerebral palsy and spina bifida. Each device was designed to meet the ambulatory requirements of children aged 6–11.
